February 2024 inflation Year on Year (y-on-y) Sumatera Utara Province by 2.50 percent

Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sumatera Utara Province will be 2.50 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.87. The highest inflation occurred in Labuhanbatu Regency at 3.98 percent with a CPI of 108.74 and the lowest occurred in Deli Serdang Regency at 1.71 percent with a CPI of 105.57.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for all expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.78 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.05 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.65 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.49 percent; health group by 1.23 percent; transportation group at 0.66 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.09 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.66 percent; education group at 1.54 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.49 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.07 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate is 0.41 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 0.81 percent.
