August 2021, North Sumatra's exports increased by 16.37 percent

Abstract

· The value of exports through loading ports in North Sumatra in August 2021 increased compared to July 2021, from US$993.84 million to US$1.16 billion or an increase of 16.37 percent. When compared to August 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 69.38 percent.

· The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in August 2021 compared to July 2021 was animal/vegetable fats and oils of US$105.86 million (23.12%).

· Exports to China in August 2021 were the largest at US$166.18 million, followed by the United States at US$133.79 million and India at US$130.74 million with the contribution of the three reaching 37.24 percent.

· According to the group of main export destinations in August 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$432.78 (37.42%)
